Happy Easter

We started the day off right, with an Easter Egg hunt in the back yard. The Easter Bunny left some really great prizes in the kids eggs (we don't do candy, since they get a lot at the hunt at church!) After getting cleaned and dressed we headed to church for breakfast and the kids' big performance with His Singer (the little kids music group at church). It was to be Isaac's church debut! Both kids did really well. Isaac even sang most of his songs and didn't start acting crazy until the very end. After the service, we headed outside for the annual free for all, I mean Easter Egg Hunt. The kids all got a bucketful of candy and then we headed home for lunch with the family. The cousins all had fun playing together. All in all the day was great, even though it was a bit chilly!

Spring Break trip

Last week was Spring Break. We spent the first part of it in Branson with some good friends. Erin unfortunately got sick and spent most of the weekendin bed, but the kids all had a blast playing at the playground putt-putting, and just hanging out with their best buds. . .

Mix-up Times

Both of our kids have their confusion of different things. For Kalista it is her mixed-up metaphors. . My two favorite are . . .

"Mom, can you borrow me a favor?"

"You are cracking me nuts!"

With Isaac it is a different story entirely. He is totally confused about time. He is constantly saying things like . . .

"Remember, yesterday when I was big? I was watching TV 'cause I was a grown-up."

"I'm 5 and on Saturday I'm going to be six. Then next time I will be a grown-up." (His birthday is in August, by the way!"

So silly. . . .

One busy month

So I realize it has been a month since I blog. . . . I have no excuse exceptthat we have been very busy getting back to school, getting new tires and brakes on Erin's car, being rear-ended in the van, taking the van for its first estimate, having Erin's car break down in the parking lot of the body shop(new fuel pump), calling my friend to pick up me and the kids while Erin waited for a tow, being told the van was drivable and the body shop couldn't begin repairs until the middle of February, taking the van to another body shop, having body shop two declare the van undrivable, finally getting a rental and Erin's car fixed, all the while visiting the chiropractor 3 times a week, Erin's swim meets, and I could go on and on. . . But so could many of you I am sure so I'll leave you with a few pics of the smashed up van and of the kids in the snow this past week on the second of our two snow days. . .

Greetings from FL

This week we have been in FL visiting Erin's mom. While we have been soaking in the sun, we have also been busy playing wii, swimming, going to the movies, and spending a day at Disney. We plan on having a quiet New Years' celebration tonight and will start home on the 2nd. Here's hoping everyone has a happy, safe, New Year's Eve!

Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. . .

Isaac loves playing with Gramme. Here they are in her room playing Batman and watching Scooby Doo meets Batman on her TV.

Gramme's First Mario Kart Derby!
